You’ll have the fantastic opportunity to work at our highly recommended fine dining restaurant 1539, our gastro pub The White Horse and our trendy high street bar & restaurant the Commonhall St Social.Key responsibilities that the successful Trainee Chef would be trained in:Daily running of a busy kitchenTo support the provision of food deliveryDirectly involved with all aspects of food preparation and food storageWork closely with kitchen management, learning about the working practices and different areas and styles of catering we providePreparation of food as detailed within service operating proceduresWorking alongside our head chef & assessor to shape your personal developmentOrdering stock, stock rotation and waste management/awarenessLearn about all legislation ensuring requirements are met including food safety, licensing, health & safety at work, COSHH, environmental health, fire precautions etc.Skills and experience to be successful as Apprentice Chef:Good communication skillsExcellent team playerAble to work on own initiativeAbility to work to deadlinesHours of work:Hours of work will vary around lunch and dinner service at our restaurants and event timings on race days.
