Head Pastry Chef Luxury Hotel Gloucestershire, live in available in a cottage nearby, Package up to £42,300 Per Annum including tronc.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and creative Head Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in crafting delectable pastry creations that complement our commitment to exceptional hospitality. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will have the opportunity to showcase your talent and contribute to the overall success of our establishment.

The Role:

• Responsible for the overall running of the pastry area
• To produce and deliver a variety of dishes to a high standard of preparation, production, and presentation
• Ensure guests’ expectations are exceeded through consistent service and product delivery
• Aim to achieve required standards of food service while ensuring that profitability targets are met
• Under the direction of the Head Chef, prepare and produce food as directed using modern methods, equipment, and fresh food.
• Ensure that the section operates effectively daily
• Maintain a sufficient mise en place for Afternoon tea / Lunch and Dinner service.
• Provide junior members of the kitchen team with support in training and development so that service and product delivery is consistent

Requirements:

• 2 years experience in a similar role
• NVQ Level 2 as a minimum
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to demonstrate good food production
• Ability to work under the pressure of a busy kitchen
• Confident and positive attitude toward working
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team
