We’re looking for a Food and Beverage Team Member. In this role, you’d be making a real difference to the work of the National Trust, as well as helping to give people a memorable day out.

Hours: This role is an hourly paid, fixed term position. Wherever possible, we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but we’re looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of the business. We’d give you as much notice of this as possible. The role will include working in the week as well as at weekends and Bank Holidays, however, there are no evenings or split shifts.

This role will involve working any days Monday to Sunday and will require availability on weekdays as well as weekends.

Salary: £11.50 per hour

Duration: Fixed Term Contract until 26th September 2025

Interview dates: Monday 7th- Friday 11th October 2024

What it’s like to work here

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, you’ll be based at Charlecote Park (Wellesbourne, Warwick, CV35 9ER), which overlooks the river Avon on the edge of Shakespeare’s Stratford. The house, still run by the Lucy family, has been in the family for 900 years. Outside, the parkland is home to herds of Jacob sheep and fallow deer. There are multiple Food & Beverage outlets including, the Orangery Restaurant, Wood Yard Café and the Stables Gardens, open on busy days.

As a Team Member, your main focus will be front of house, dealing directly with people. You’ll welcome and look after everyone who comes to the café. With your love of working with people, your ‘can-do’ attitude and your desire to provide an outstanding service, you’ll be making sure everyone has an enjoyable time. This is a lively business that’s constantly on the go, so teamwork and adaptability are crucial.

You’ll be keen to understand what people want, to help them and to make recommendations. You’ll always keep the standards of food and drink preparation and presentation high. Using your excellent eye for detail, you’ll make sure all displays and signs are accurate and looking good. At times, you may need to help the kitchen team with preparing food.

We’ll give you an induction that fits the job, and training in allergens and food safety, plus any mentoring needed to help you in your role. You can sign up for further professional training and development if you wish.
