We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded gastro pub that is renowned for its commitment to delivering exceptional food and a memorable dining experience. This vibrant establishment is seeking a talented and dedicated Sous Chef to join their dynamic kitchen team. Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Head Chef: Assist in the planning, development, and execution of a creative and diverse menu that aligns with the gastro pub s reputation for excellence.
• Lead Kitchen Operations: Take charge of kitchen operations in the Head Chef’s absence, ensuring consistency in quality, presentation, and service.
• Team Management: Train, mentor, and manage junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
• Maintain Standards: Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen.
• Stock Management: Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage food cost controls to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
• Menu Development: Contribute ideas for new dishes and menu enhancements, staying current with food trends and customer preferences.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience: Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a high-quality, fast-paced kitchen.
• Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a team and maintain high standards under pressure.
• Passion: A genuine passion for food, with a creative flair and the drive to continually push the boundaries of the menu.
• Knowledge: Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards.
• Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
