If so, Birmingham 2022 is looking to recruit an Athlete Services Coordinator.

Working collaboratively to support the Athlete Services Manager and the wider Games Family Services team, you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of athlete services including retail, entertainment and recreation services for 6,500 athletes and team officials from 72 countries. In addition to working with the Ceremonies team to ensure the smooth transition of athletes to Opening/Closing Ceremonies and other events at Games time.

Responsibilities:

• Leading a dynamic and creative customer focused athlete services team to deliver a comfortable environment for all Village residents at Games Time.
• Assist with the planning and delivery of a range of Village tasks with athlete experience at the forefront of everything you do.
• Manage an innovative athlete recreation and entertainment program to showcase the best of the region and ensure athletes enjoy a memorable experience.
• Support training of the Athletes Services team consisting of paid, contract and volunteer workforce.
• Take on the unique opportunity of a Games time role.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

Essential

• Operational project or event management experience, with proven abilities in planning and managing budgets.
• Experience in the entertainment/event, retail or hospitality industry.
• Ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders and delivery partners.

Desirable

• Degree in Project Management, Hospitality Management, or related areas.
• Flexibility to support a number of different projects within the Village Operations function.
• Evidence of working with/on behalf of disabled people and/or a knowledge of the needs of elite athletes with a disability.

Start Date: ASAP

Contract type: Fixed-term contract until August 2022

Salary: upto £30,000 per annum

Location: One Brindley Place, Birmingham, B1 2JB (full-time, office-based)
